Reese is just 3 days older than Tylden. She’s the brand new niece of one my awesome brides, who gave her sister a newborn session with me as one of her shower gifts. I was honored.

My second little boy, Tylden, was born on March 25 weighing in at 8 lbs 6 ozs. It was truly an amazing day and I was so blessed to have my friend and madly talented photographer, Courtney Ortiz, at the hospital to capture it for us. I had a scheduled c-section (doctor’s orders) and at the last minute my parents got stuck in Colorado because of a snowstorm, so Courtney not only photographed everything, but she also watched Tylden’s big brother Tookie in the hospital for us while I was in surgery. She’s posted some amazing photos of Tookie on her blog from the hospital (more to come!). They make me ridiculously happy and I am so so grateful to have her as a friend.

Recovery has been so much easier the second time around and although I’m still sore and tired, I feel surprisingly good for having surgery less than a week ago. And Tylden has been such a good baby, sleeping like a champ at night and generally being such a happy little guy. I love having two boys. Tookie is absolutely in love with his baby brother and calls him “Baby Ty”. Here’s a few photo of Baby Ty I took at home yesterday.

Reflecting on 2009, I am so grateful to all the awesome people I’ve met because of my camera. Picking my favorite images from the year was so hard! I could easily add 30 more. Thank you all for trusting me to capture the important moments in your lives. I’ve loved every second of it and I can’t wait to see what 2010 brings.

I adore shooting new babies. It’s such a privilege to get to document these early moments for a brand new family. Little Miss Caitlyn is just seven days old here. Isn’t she beautiful? I love all that dark hair. This is my last session of 2009 and I can’t think of a better way to end such a fantastic year.

Just a very quick post from today’s newborn session. I spotted this one as I was downloading the set and couldn’t resist posting it immediately. It may be one of my favorite photos of the entire year. There’s something so special about a daddy and his brand new daughter. More to come from this sweet little girl.

Baby Makes Three | West Palm Newborn Photographer

Last month I had the honor of photographing my friend’s (and fellow photographers) brand new baby boy. Rebekah & Ben Hood are a fabulous husband and wife wedding photography team and their brand new little angel is the sweetest little boy. He’s got awesome hair and the cutest cheeks you’ve ever seen. We started with some shots at their home and then headed to Babies ‘R’ Us to attempt a crazy idea I had without getting kicked out of the store (success!). We had plans to continue at a local park, but the crazy South Florida weather had other ideas. But yay for me, because I get to hang with them again when we do the second half of their session soon. Love you guys! Thanks for your patience during my blogging hiatus.

I commandeered one of those huge ladders to stand on to get this shot, so Ben had to go distract the sales lady so we wouldn’t get busted

And here’s that crazy weather I mentioned . . . it was almost hurricane-like.

Happy Birthday Dylan | Jupiter Photographer

Just before I left for Colorado, our good friends Kevin & Diana and family celebrated Dylan’s first birthday. I’ve done several sessions with little Dylan . . . he was in mom’s belly the first time I took his picture, so of course I had to get a couple at his first Birthday Party. I’ve got a few more for you guys that you’ll get on your CD. We still need to do a full family session with all 3 boys!!
